LENS NEUROFEEDBACK TREATMENT LENS Neurofeedback treatment is a safe and gentle stress reduction modality which can improve cognitive and emotional functionality. Through an EEG device the LENS software measures brain wave activity at certain sites on the head through sensors, and a feedback signal is emitted back to the brain, allowing the brain to reorganize itself. It is FDA approved as a biofeedback device for relaxation, muscle re-education and stress reduction. It does not treat any specific disease or diagnosis. It may help in the reduction of symptoms associated with many mental and physical disorders like ADD/ADHD, Anxiety, Autism, Depression, Panic Attacks, Parkinson’s Disease, OCD, Traumatic Brain Injuries (any fall or impact which targets the head), and more. This service is out of pocket but can be reimbursed through health savings accounts and flexible spending accounts. Please confirm with your HSA or FSA for biofeedback reimbursement. MY STORY I have a personal passion for nutrition and health which I hope to share with my patients. My love of reading and research led me to pursue nutrition at Central Washington University where I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Food Science and Nutrition. I also received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Washington because I believe that mental health and physical health go hand in hand. Since then, I have worked as both a clinical and outpatient dietitian. I have over six years of experience in dietetics and nutrition. In order to better help my patients achieve their goals, I became certified in LENS Neurofeedback because I believe the mind and body are intimately related, and I aim to combine nutritional counseling with LENS Neurofeedback for the best results for my patients.
